Dementia is a reorganization of the brain resulting memory loss, hallucinations, and general breakdown of bodily functions. Alzheimer’s disease is one specific subset of dementia. The Alzeimer’s organization (www.alz.org) reported July 17, 2013 that those who notice memory loss or issues with decreasing ability toward organization may actually be sensing the onslaught of dementia far in advance of what any test would show.
Visit www.alz.org for more information. There are some articles from papers around the country reporting the study.
